Who am I?

I’m a service designer, writer, and storyteller, born and currently located in the California Bay Area.

I have 8 years’ experience across UX, research, content, and strategy, and a Master’s in interaction design. I enjoy untangling complex systems, centering human beings and physical experiences (aka designing beyond digital interfaces), and collaborating across disciplines to create measurable change.

I am a team’s inspiration catalyst and connection-finder; you can spot me jumping in wherever there is a need, or calling for a dance break. My background in writing allows me to engage with the human stories that drive our needs and experiences, and bring others into the narrative in order to create change.

I’m interested in opportunities to make an impact in a field such as civic tech, healthcare, education, the environment, or transportation. (Yes, this is a lot of different fields, but I love interdisciplinary learning! I also love parentheticals.) I welcome opportunities that, at their core, are driven by a social mission of equity and rejuvenation.

Technical details

I received a B.A. from Bard College, 2014, in Creative Writing and French. After graduating, I attended the Columbia Publishing Course at the Columbia School of Journalism. Inspired by my experience as UX designer in the digital publishing segment of the course, I took a UX intensive course at General Assembly before moving back to the West Coast to be close to fog and work in UX.

In 2019 I received my Master’s in Interaction Design at California College of the Arts, in order to deepen my understanding of the impact and power of design, and apply it to social change.

I use many design tools including Figma, Sketch, Invision, Arduino and Processing, paper and pen. I’m proficient in French and am currently learning American Sign Language and Spanish.
